What we do

The Proven story is one of passion and innovation. In 1972, our founder Mr. Ohn Lwin (1949-2016) opened a battery-charging and dynamo motor repair and service shop in Mawlamyine in Southern Myanmar. He thereafter started a battery plate production business.
In 1978, the Lwin business was moved to Yangon where it became a renowned battery plate manufacturer in Myanmar.
In 1996, Proven Technology Industry Co., Ltd. was established to manufacture the TOYO lead acid battery for use in cars and lighting.
In 2005, Yangon Metal Industry Co., Ltd. was established as the first industrial skilled secondary lead smelting plant of its kind in Myanmar. Environmentally-friendly, it recycles used lead acid batteries into refined lead or various lead alloys.
In 2010, Proven Polyworld Co., Ltd. (formally known as Myanmar Polyworld Co., Ltd) was established to produce battery plastic containers and to offer contract manufacturing and OEM plastic injection services.
In 2014, Proven International Co., Ltd. was set up to distributed aftermarket automotive related parts and accessories.
In 2021 Proven Distribution Co., Ltd was set up to distributed TOYO and LION Batteries made by Proven Technology Industry Co., Ltd, across Myanmar.
Committed to investing in human resources , Mr. Ohn Lwin sent his people to study relevant subjects and technical know-how. He also promoted the importance of safe working conditions. Proven Technology Industry Co., Ltd. has achieved “Best OHSNET Award” from ASEAN Occupational Safety and Health Network (ASEAN-OSHNET) in 2015.
According to the company policy of continuous improvement of quality in both products and services, the company has committed itself to ISO standard procedures since 2005. Achievement and rewards quality and credibility includes the ISO 9001-2000 (QMS) award in 2006, ISO 14001:2004(EMS) and the ISO 9001-2008 (QMS) award in 2011. In further strengthening the quality circles in all spheres of the company, the “Responsible Care (RC)” system was incorporated and implemented in early 2011. Now, our company is practicing the OHSAS 18001:2007.
Although Mr. Ohn Lwin passed away in 2016, his legacy lives on today. His passion and innovation are the compass that points us towards the continuing success of TOYO batteries and Lion Motorcycle Batteries and the Proven Group of Companies in Myanmar and beyond.

Reporting to Director of Sales & Marketing Create materials based on segments, field training, field communication, partnership requirements, and coordination with Markets. Support product roadmap; own marketing communications, support sales & marketing field through executive briefings and customer meetings. Develop a feedback loop for product performance, gather market research including addressable and selling markets, work with team for timely & adequate entrance into the markets/ segments. Develop use cases, anticipate potential roadblocks & manage resolutions. Critical analysis of overall revenue and sales results as well as business intelligence data at product level to understand trends which provides input into what types of offers to create as well as where to execute. Need to understand anomalies in trends with the ‘Why’ behind them and provide recommendations on addressing the revenue gaps. Provide recommendations based on business intelligence of product revenue that informs go to market initiatives around how we position various product portfolios to drive incremental revenue in the business channels. Understand the ISO System, RC, TQM System and follow them to work together for improvement.
Led the operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, project and resources management. Oversee the ERP administration, system and database administration, network administration, and end-user services for both hardware and software. Experienced with ERP such as Acumatica, SAP, Odoo. Benchmark, analyze and make recommendations for systems improvement. Managed manpower development and hiring. Managed the financial aspect of the department including purchasing, budgeting and budget review and handled IT budgeting. Working on IT initiatives assigned by Management team. Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization’s need. Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness. Mentoring and encouraging skill development of IT team members. Working closely with other department Managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s business. Evaluating technology risks in order to develop a network/data disaster recovery plan and backup procedures. Leading IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services. Monitoring performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure. Analyzing business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs. Collaborating with end users for Software functions, Workflow & managing the system requirements with Software vendors. Taking accountability for other works assigned from Senior Management level. Report to Managing Director & Admin Director.
