What we do

The Proven story is one of passion and innovation. In 1972, our founder Mr. Ohn Lwin (1949-2016) opened a battery-charging and dynamo motor repair and service shop in Mawlamyine in Southern Myanmar. He thereafter started a battery plate production business.
In 1978, the Lwin business was moved to Yangon where it became a renowned battery plate manufacturer in Myanmar.
In 1996, Proven Technology Industry Co., Ltd. was established to manufacture the TOYO lead acid battery for use in cars and lighting.
In 2005, Yangon Metal Industry Co., Ltd. was established as the first industrial skilled secondary lead smelting plant of its kind in Myanmar. Environmentally-friendly, it recycles used lead acid batteries into refined lead or various lead alloys.
In 2010, Proven Polyworld Co., Ltd. (formally known as Myanmar Polyworld Co., Ltd) was established to produce battery plastic containers and to offer contract manufacturing and OEM plastic injection services.
In 2014, Proven International Co., Ltd. was set up to distributed aftermarket automotive related parts and accessories.
In 2021 Proven Distribution Co., Ltd was set up to distributed TOYO and LION Batteries made by Proven Technology Industry Co., Ltd, across Myanmar.
Committed to investing in human resources , Mr. Ohn Lwin sent his people to study relevant subjects and technical know-how. He also promoted the importance of safe working conditions. Proven Technology Industry Co., Ltd. has achieved “Best OHSNET Award” from ASEAN Occupational Safety and Health Network (ASEAN-OSHNET) in 2015.
According to the company policy of continuous improvement of quality in both products and services, the company has committed itself to ISO standard procedures since 2005.
