Responsibilities and Duties We are looking for a Trade Mark Attorney to join our expanding trade mark practice! Working on a wide range of trade mark-related issues for some of the most well-known and reputable companies, you will handle both non-contentious and contentious matters. Key responsibilities Review filing instructions and proceed with new trademark application process, by offering preliminary advice prior to filing, preparing forms, translating the goods/services specification (if required), completing the necessary relevant documents and application process. Handle office actions on amendment of specification of goods/services or any other issues received from the Intellectual Property Department (IPD), from advising the same to clients. Follow with the IPD for any trademark-related issues (filing, recordal, objections, etc.), Manage any opposition to trade mark registration and advise on conflicting applications to clients Handle renewals of trade mark Handle other trade mark related work such as transfer of ownership, licensing agreements and increasing the scope of protection Conduct trademark searches and analyses Able to negotiate in trade mark disputes and take action on trade mark infringement and passing off Able to manage, protect and enforce portfolios of intellectual property rights, including copyright
