Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, or Head Chef Hands-on experience with planning for food Knowledge of a wide range of recipes Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment Conflict management abilities Excellent organizational skills Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations Check food plating and temperature Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators) Keep weekly and monthly cost reports Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
•Direction, coordination and evaluation of products and supplies between packing and transportation operations •Supervision of Cold Store facility employees who receive, pull orders, rotate stock and receive both refrigerated and frozen inventory in a safe and efficient manner •Planning, assigning and directing daily work •Ensuring the accuracy of all product inventories •Interviewing, hiring and training of employees within the Cold Store facility •Accountable for maintaining and promoting a zero accident safety culture •Collaborating with various internal departments including accounting, human resources, logistics, grower relations, safety and production
