What we do

Today's Shwe Mandalay Cafes are started when the two brothers, U Zaw Myo Aung and U Hlaing Min Aung, opened a three-man operated neighborhood liquor store in the early year of the 2007 near the petroleum mining place located in Magway Region, Myanmar. They had the vision to re-innovate the traditional tea culture combining with the modern culture. Then, they accumulate the capital needed to move one step closer to archive their dream which is to change the business to a tea shop cafe.

Shwe Mandalay Cafe's first branch was opened on October 6, 2009, with only fifteen employees at the Corner of 62 Street & San Pya Street, Industrial Zone (1), Mandalay, Myanmar. We founded the Shwe Mandalay First Generation Co.Ltd in 2016. The second branch is opened on August 18, 2018, at the corner of 62 Street & Pyusaw Htee Street, Pyigyitagon Township, Mandalay, Myanmar. From then on, we have successfully opened three branches now. We currently have above 300 employees working with us.

Our third branch is a unique cafe that will take us back to the history of Myanmar. From the food to the decoration of the place, it will able to bring forth our proud culture and history of Myanmar.

We are planning to manufacture our great food for people from various places to enjoy. We want to create more job opportunities for the people in our country. We are expecting to employ over 500 jobs in the coming 2-3 years.
