Design residential, commercial, and industrial rooftop and ground-mount PV systems. Conduct site assessments and analyze energy production using tools like PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar. Create detailed electrical single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and system schematics. Size solar PV system components including inverters, modules, wiring, and protection devices. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (e.g., NEC, IEC), utility requirements, and safety standards. Coordinate with project managers, installation teams, and permitting authorities. Prepare bill of materials (BoM), cost estimates, and technical documentation for proposals. Evaluate new technologies and provide engineering support during installation and commissioning. Assist in performance analysis and troubleshooting of PV systems.
