Positive Outlook for Myanmar through Global Uncertainty

Every day, we seem to be getting new news about what it happening around the world. We hear stories of airlines limiting flights and hotels not being able to fill all their rooms.

However things at JobNet are, like other elements of the economy, for the most part unchanged and unaffected by the uncertainty that other sectors see. Like the banking and insurance industries for example, recruitment technology is largely continuing forward as the status quo, and even potentially could be seeing growth as more and more people turn to working online and plugging into their networks more than ever before.

So what does that mean? Well for one, JobNet is not slowing down! We recognize and value the community of JobSeekers (over half a million to date, and growing) we have online, and our platform that employers use to connect to them. It means JobNet is investing and reinvesting in business opportunities, additional products and services, and exploring new avenues for growth so that companies can continue to reach out and interact with the JobSeeker.

We do this because we firmly believe in the power of a strong employer brand. By presenting our clients with varying options (pictures, images, quotes, mission and vision statements, and more) to tell their story, the interested job seeker will see a past, present, and future company that they could envision working for. A powerful employer brand keeps the talent pipeline full because public perception leading companies is what maintains through uncertain times, that there are companies that have faced challenges before and gone through them to succeed. Will that be your business?

As companies face this difficult situation, the actions they take will impact the story of their employer brand now and in the future. It is important to recognize if any changes in work style and habits are possible, and what that means for the brand. Does a company allow people to work from home/online? What digital tools (meeting rooms, chat, etc) are put in place for everyday work?

Lastly what about recruitment particularly can be moved to best practice in times like these? Thankfully, a bulk of the screening and qualifying process is already done electronically, which means processes can be set up automatically or employees can collaborate from remote locations to narrow down the candidate pool for a particular post. Along with interviewing over telephone or web conference, the entire hiring cycle can be completed without ever having to physically come in contact with a potential new hire, opening up a world of opportunities for people who do not live close to the business, or for any other reason would need to work from outside an office location.

JobNet is continuing strong with our digital toolkit, if your business needs a review of all that employees who use the JobNet platform can do don’t hesitate to contact your Account Manager or Customer Success representative today!
