Update from our Co-Founder and Managing Director

Dear Friends,

The first half of the year 2020 is proving so far to be for the most part full of challenges. With slower demand and shocks to the economy, the majority of businesses in Myanmar have been put through a test like never before.  Having said that, I am thoroughly impressed by the speed of action, compassion and resilience demonstrated by people and organizations in Myanmar, and this gives me confidence that better days are ahead and fast approaching. Congratulations and good luck to all of you!

At JobNet we entered this period of crisis with the mindset and clear goal to reemerge stronger on all fronts, able to support and serve our customers and the job market in new and better ways, ultimately making progress towards our mission of accelerating the adoption of talent management and recruitment technology in Myanmar and making HR departments more efficient and effective:

  • We have launched the "Best Companies to Work in Myanmar" program, a recognition and certification platform based purely on a comprehensive 100% online employee engagement survey.   Designed to help you enhance your employer brand, where each participating company also receives a ~30-page, detailed analytics report with a benchmarking study so you can compare your engagement scores across the rest of the market. Currently no benchmarking exists amongst other companies in Myanmar for employee engagement and with this program, JobNet intends to fill that gap!   Applications are open until July 17th. More information on bcimyanmar.com

  • In the 4th edition, the 2020 Myanmar Employer Awards (MEA) are back. The MEA recognizes companies for excellence in HR best practices and aims to help raise standards in Myanmar year after year. As a company, it provides you with an additional tool to market your employer brand, as well as attract and retain better talent. Applications open on July 7th. We have made a number of changes and improvements to the program from last year. Please visit myanmaremployerawards.com for all the updates and application documents.

  • For product innovations, candidates can now submit a General Application to your company on your JobNet company profile, also in case, there are no other suitable active jobs at that moment.  This allows you to keep on growing your company's Talent CRM with candidates you can find later to fill positions when the need arises!
  • We want to help you reduce and better manage the significant volume of applications you receive directly to your HR email. Ideally, in fact, you would not need to receive any applications to your HR email. Instead of sharing long posts and asking candidates to send their CV to your email, you can now seamlessly share jobs on social media (FB and LI) from within the JobNet dashboard with our one-click, quick-share feature. This way all applicants will be easily stored and organized in your Applicant Tracking System (ATS) after being auto-screened via questionnaires, so you save time screening and finding the best CVs.
  • We've also launched an automatic Weekly Talent Management and Recruitment Report to help you spend less time on manual reporting, filling excel sheets and other inefficient processes to report on your hiring progress and Talent pipeline. Our report shows you progress on all open vacancies, status on the number of shortlisted, rejected and interviewed candidates, and progress for each recruiter in your organisation. Please feel free to drop us a line at support@jobnet.com.mm if you have any questions and want to find out how our system works in detail.

In conclusion, I hope for you and your business the same strength and growth that Myanmar deserves and I wish you and your loved ones to remain safe and healthy during this period.
