JobNet.com.mm, Myanmar’s number one job recruitment site, has released its Second Quarter report findings, providing timely and accurate insights into Myanmar’s dynamic employment market.
The quarterly report is a summary of an analysis of exclusive data collected on JobNet.com.mm between 1st April and 30th June 2019. With JobNet receiving over 120,000 job applications each month and continually hosting on average 3,000 job vacancies, the data gives insight into job market factors such as labour demand, the level of experience being sought, median salaries by sector, top paying job functions, and more.
Notably, education entered the top-ten job function demand this quarter, displacing logistics, distribution, and fleet services. Education also entered the top 20 for best paying job functions overall. After being absent from the top 20 in quarter one, hospitality and tourism field returned to the top 20 most competitive job function for job seekers. For the first time, JobNet was able to analyze new information about salary trends for directors and above, with data showing a drastic and steady decline in salary for those in director and the highest-experience roles.
Working with local and international employers, JobNet remains committed to supporting Myanmar’s human resource community and will continue to publish quarterly reports from January 2019.
