On 24th February 2026, JobNet Group successfully hosted the first Myanmar Professional HR Series seminar event of the year. The event welcomed over 250+ HR professionals and business leaders from Myanmar’s top companies.
The event, titled “The Future Of Work: Using Strategy And HR Leadership to Transform into Leading Companies of The Future”, featured two panel discussions from CEOs, Managing Directors and senior Heads of HR of the country’s leading companies.
The event opened with a Welcome Note from Mr. Justin Sway, CEO of JobNet Group, who highlighted JobNet’s long-term commitment and continued investment in Myanmar. He emphasised the importance of strengthening relationships within the HR community, and JobNet’s role as a strategic business partner in supporting companies through innovative new technologies to simplify talent acquisition.
Following Mr. Justin Sway was a presentation from Mr. Sean Hope, Head of Customer Solutions, providing data-driven presentation into the latest recruitment and job search landscape.
Referencing SimilarWeb, JobNet.com.mm remains as the #1 dominant job search platform in the country, recording over 717,000 website page views, approximately x60 more traffic than any other job search websites.
Mr. Sean Hope highlighted a 17% increase in job seeker traffic on JobNet.com.mm over the past three months, indicating that more professionals are actively exploring new career opportunities. During the same period, job postings have increased by 21%, reflecting that companies are actively hiring to strengthen their workforce. These trends signal a more competitive talent landscape as Myanmar enters its peak hiring season. With more job seekers exploring opportunities, and more companies competing for talent, organisations must take a more proactive approach to talent acquisition in order to secure the best candidates.
To gain a competitive edge, companies were encouraged to participate in the upcoming JobNATION Job fair, scheduled for Saturday 21st March. The event will provide the opportunity to directly connect with over 4,500+ job seekers, enabling organisations to accelerate their hiring efforts during this critical recruitment period.
Following Mr. Sean Hope was a presentation by Ms. Myint Myint Zan, Senior Product Manager of JobNet.com.mm who shared updates on the latest improvements to the JobNet e-recruitment platform.
A key highlight was the unveiling of the AI-Powered CV Validation feature within the JobNet SMART AI. This new feature automatically detects possible incomplete or incorrect CVs by scanning work history, contact details, and overall completeness for potential fake data attributes. This feature also scans images to detect inappropriate or unrelated profile photos. This update enables HR managers and businesses to spend less time filtering irrelevant CV applications, and helps organisations find qualified candidates faster.

The session brought together CEOs and MDs to share how leadership decisions have contributed to building a powerful employer brand, elevating the company’s status as an Employer of Choice in the talent market.
The speakers emphasised that the key to long-term success is to create environments with strong core values and purpose where people genuinely want to work and grow. They highlighted the importance of actively listening to the evolving expectations of the workforce, particularly to Gen Z. Through understanding, organisations can remain relevant, resilient and attractive to the next generation of talent. Another priority was to rethink traditional workplace norms and create environments where younger employees feel empowered to contribute, respectfully challenge ideas, and to think independently.
The speakers noted that competing for talent through salary alone is not sustainable in the long-term. Instead, organisations have shifted towards creating programs that combine non-monetary rewards with clear pathways for career progression and personal growth. Additionally, building a meritocracy-based organisation where employees are rewarded for their contribution and capabilities has proven to increase productivity, reduce employee turnover, and strengthen loyalty.

The panel explored the critical role of HR in supporting organisational success and resilience during uncertainties of the past few years. The speakers shared how their role has evolved to becoming a strategic partner in order to drive business continuity, and operational effectiveness.
One of the key priorities highlighted was the simplification and streamlining of HR processes; by improving standard operating procedures, while reducing administrative complexities. HR teams will then be in a better position to focus on strategic priorities.
The speakers also emphasised the importance of building a continuous learning culture to ensure employees remain adaptable. By providing employees with access to learning resources, structured development programs, and clear growth opportunities, the companies have seen increases in staff motivation and engagement.
In addition, staff rotation programs have been beneficial for developing future leaders adapting and learning new skills by working on different roles. By offering opportunities to work at different offices and headquarters, organisations are able to build a more versatile, resilient, and global-minded workforce. The panel reinforced that in times of uncertainty, organisations that prioritise people development, adaptability, and strategic workforce planning will be best positioned to navigate challenges and emerge stronger.
