Job Description
• Review accounting & operational policies, procedures and controls; access adequacy of company’s policies; evaluate compliance; identify non-conformances; make recommendations to improve efficiency & effectiveness of work environment; establish feedback mechanism for periodic review, monitoring and evaluation.
• Report on abnormalities and irregularities in field operations as well as in accounting.
• Prepare internal audit plans for designated areas including operations, accounting, reporting, treasury, health & safety, physical work environment etc.
• Evaluate integrity of general ledger and accounting systems, processes and procedures.
• Verify on assets and liabilities and check budget allocation and expenditures.
• Measure whether resources are used effectively and economically.
• Establish targets and measurements to assess whether resources are used effectively and economically.
• Develop tools and mechanism to track company and operational performance, employee performance looking at financial and non-financial metrics.
• Provides necessary trainings to branch staff related to established policies & procedures of the company.
• Conduct any special appraisals, inspections, investigations, examinations or reviews on fraud, suspect cases or irregularities requested by the senior management.
• Support senior management with shaping and developing a risk management policies.
• Evaluate the relevance, reliability and integrity of management and company employees.
• Access physical safeguards or company’s assets.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, Donor’s rules & regulations, Statutory requirements, Donor requirements.
• Report independently to Board.

Criteria
• Possessing Bachelor of Commerce and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
• Able to travel within country
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point etc)
• Fluent in English both written & spoken
• Minimum 5 years of auditing experience either in Public Accounting or in a private company as Internal Auditor
• Experience in Multi-national companies is preferred.
• Able to work under pressure.
