• Creating, maintaining, testing, and debugging the back end of our system (core application logic, databases, data and application integration, API, and other processes taking place behind the scenes)
• Building modular and reusable components and libraries
• Optimizing for performance and scalability with computer science principles and data structures
• Implementing automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows
• Keeping an eye on security updates and issues found with all project dependencies
• Proposing any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and development best practices

• Considerable backend experience with Node.
• Experience designing MongoDB schemas and GraphQL API’s, with a solid understanding of transactional and document databases.
• API documentation
• Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean code
• Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically Jest.
• Experience with both consuming and designing GraphQL API’s
• Experience working and collaborating with teams
  
  Nice to have
• Experience coaching and mentor other engineers
• Know how on project initiation and management through solid processes (TDD, code reviews, feature planning, continuous integration and deployment)
• Experience with smart contracts (Rust/CosmWasm or Solidity)
• GoLang
