Summary of Responsibility Scope:
Supervision Engineer is responsible for organizing the works on site, allocate manpower and other resources, supervise works of installation engineers and other personnel in order to achieve the project in schedule, and meet quality objectives of the project. Supervising Engineer is responsible not only in delivering projects but also providing customer satisfaction and maintain customer satisfaction during and post-delivery of the project, and legal and Management System compliance are ensured at all time.
Primary Job Descriptions
(1) Support the Line Authorities and the Bidding team to survey, draw construction schedules, project schedules and operation budgets, plan for resources in putting together a bid for a project
(2) Assist Project Manager and/or Site Manager of assigned projects to ensure the whole project complies with contractual requirements, including time and budget parameters of the project
(3) Provides technical, administrative and operational leadership to assigned task(s), project(s), including sub-contractor management, worksite safety and security, worksite regulations and reporting etc
(4) Evaluate work performance and motivate sub-ordinate staff to obtain high productivity, result and morale
(5) Regularly keep in touch with subordinate staff to exchange information, provide appropriate classroom and hands-on-trainings and identifies new opportunities for improvement. Site Management meetings are regularly organized and recorded as per Construction Management Manuals, Safety Manuals etc and other relevant manuals of the company
(6) Anticipates problems in shortages of resources (financial, manpower, materials and equipment) and report in advance to General Manager and Deputy General Manager of Engineering Department with suggested corrective action plan
(7) Observes and ensure safe work practices, develop preventative actions and corrective actions in assigned projects, as part of Risk Assessment Review Procedure. Conduct occasional site patrol of other projects to provide risk assessment review input to other projects as promotion of compliance to Occupational Health & Safety regulations/guidelines of the company
(8) Supervise works to ensure quality requirements and the work is executed as per approved design and specification
(9) Check detailed drawings, material usage computations, and quantities for accuracy and conformity to standards, specifications laid down for each assigned project
(10) Maintain sets of approved drawings, sketch for as-build drawings, conduct performance test and maintain reports to submit to HQ project personnel, sketch for variation orders to get approval from client and keep track of variation orders if necessary by the project management team at HQ
(11) Ensures work under execution are in line with time and budget requirements
(12) Manage sub-contractors to have proper work sequence with quality and timely completion of works according to project schedule and inspect
