Job Summary

The Head of Distribution Business will lead and manage the entire distribution operation, including strategic planning, business development, and operational execution. This role is pivotal in driving the growth, efficiency, and profitability of the company's distribution activities, ensuring seamless delivery of products and services to our clients and customers. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with extensive experience in distribution, logistics, and supply chain management, and will possess strong strategic, operational, and financial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement the strategic vision for the distribution business, aligning it with the overall company strategy.
• Identify market opportunities and trends to drive growth and competitive advantage.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term plans and budgets for the distribution division.

Business Development:

• Oversee business development initiatives to expand distribution networks and customer base.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Lead negotiations and manage contracts with major clients and distribution partners.

Operational Management:

• Ensure efficient and effective distribution operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics.
• Implement best practices in warehousing, transportation, and supply chain management to optimize performance.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Financial Oversight:

• Manage the distribution budget, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting financial performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve profitability.
• Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to support decision-making.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing distribution team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

Technology and Innovation:

• Leverage technology and innovation to enhance distribution efficiency and customer experience.
• Evaluate and implement new tools, systems, and processes to improve distribution operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and growing distribution operations.
• Strong strategic planning, business development, and financial management skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in distribution software, ERP systems, and other relevant technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
