Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

  • Execute and monitor processes to facilitate tax compilation, reporting and payment 
  • Prepare company tax returns and ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax forms. This includes quarterly and annual commercial tax as well as annual corporate income tax.  For the commercial tax, follow up with vendors may be needed to obtain Form 31 
  • Record tax balances on the general ledger  
  • Execute and monitor effective control procedures over all aspects related to tax reporting 
  • Ensure compliance with all existing tax laws and regulations across various jurisdictions 
  • Monitor new laws and regulations that impact tax. Communicate any changes to management  
  • Assist with tax audits by preparing responses, organizing files, creating schedules and completing any other tasks that may be required 
  • Record and file all tax clearance documents  
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement  
  • Assist the Tax Manager to close all tax issues by liaising with government officials as needed

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with tax related role
  • Tax experience in Myanmar preferred 
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices 
  • Thorough understanding of Myanmar tax reporting practices 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
