Under the supervision of Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician ensures that all plant equipment in relation to its electrical and mechanical function and components are well maintained and kept in good running condition.

 DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

1. General

• Responsible for the maintenance and/or repairs of mechanical and electrical aspects of all plant equipment and parts to keep it in running condition.
• Performs routine sound and visual check on all running plant equipment to prevent machine breakdowns.
• Responds immediately to repair calls from Production Supervisors and/or Operator.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical and electrical components of equipment.
• Performs mechanical jobs and minor fabrications such as overhauling of machine, welding, pipefitting, plumbing and other related work.
• Performs wiring installations and electrical works as maybe required by the factory.
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety procedures and guidelines and Company rules and regulations.
• Informs the Maintenance Supervisor on all matters affecting mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance of equipment.
• Performs other functions as may be assigned by superior from time to time.

• College level (Engineering) or Technical School graduate of any Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics courses.
• With one year experience in food manufacturing set-up. 
• Can perform corrective and preventive maintenance of machine.
• Can work under pressure and with less supervision, hardworking and flexible.
