This position is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of Diesel Generator (DG) overhauling and maintenance for both internal operations and external customers. Responsibilities include overseeing in-house and vendor teams, supporting operational DG issues, forecasting service center costs, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to external clients.

 

Job Descriptions
1. DG Overhauling & Maintenance:
  Plan and supervise DG overhauling activities.
  Ensure timely execution and quality assurance of all maintenance tasks.
  Maintain service records and performance logs.

2. Vendor & Team Management:
   Manage in-house technicians and coordinate with external vendors.
   Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with service agreements.
   Conduct training and performance reviews for technical staff.

3. Operational Support:
   Provide technical support for DG-related operational issues.
   Troubleshoot and resolve DG breakdowns to minimize downtime.
   Collaborate with operations teams to ensure power reliability.
   Travel to sites in case of require support for diesel generators service.

4. Cost Forecasting & Budgeting:
    Prepare annual and quarterly forecasts for service center operational costs.
    Track and analyze maintenance expenses, spare parts usage, and labor costs.
    Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
    Support procurement planning based on forecasted needs.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
    Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and cost reports.
    Generate performance and cost analysis reports for management.
    Ensure compliance with internal audit and regulatory requirements.
6. Customer Service Management:
    Act as the primary contact for external DG service clients.
    Prepare service proposals, quotations, and contracts.
    Ensure timely and quality service delivery to meet customer expectations.
    Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service follow-ups.
7. Compliance & Safety:
   Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations.
   Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
   Ensure all DG operations comply with statutory and company policies.

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)

  • Experience:

    • Over 10 years of experience in Diesel Generator (DG) maintenance

    • Minimum 5 years in a leadership or managerial role

  • Technical Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge of DG systems, overhauling, and preventive maintenance

    • Technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving DG-related issues

    • Proficiency in maintenance management software and MS Office tools

  • Management Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities

    • Experience in budgeting, cost forecasting, and vendor management

    • Proven ability to control maintenance costs and optimize operations

  • Analytical Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

    • Strong analytical mindset for operational improvement and cost control
