Develop and execute sourcing strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining strict quality standards for steel plates, propellers, marine machineries and electrical goods
Benchmark existing Chinese suppliers against competitors to ensure our business always receives top-tier pricing and priority manufacturing slots.

Supervise, mentor, and review the performance of Procurement Executives and Sourcing Coordinators.
Oversee the timely issuance and accuracy of all Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring technical specifications provided by our engineering or sales teams are accurately translated to suppliers.
Serve as the primary escalation point for unresolved supplier issues, quality failures, or production delays.

Lead high-value contract negotiations with World Wide/Chinese manufacturers regarding payment terms (e.g., shifting from high down-payments to flexible Letter of Credit or open account terms over time).
Review and approve international commercial contracts, ensuring robust clauses for warranty, defect penalties, and late-delivery liabilities.
Coordinate with the finance department to manage trade financing and supplier payment schedules.

Identify and build a robust network of Chinese manufacturers approved by major classification societies (such as CCS, DNV, LR, ABS, BV, or NK).
Develop backup supply chains ("Plan B" vendors) in China to mitigate risks from factory closures, power rationing, or regional holidays like Chinese New Year.

Bachelor’s or Master degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or an Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering is highly advantageous).
5 to 7 years of procurement experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role specifically handling heavy machinery, industrial parts, steel plate, or electrical infrastructure.
Strong professional English and Mandrin Chinese for international trade documentation and contract drafting.
Comfortable reviewing technical data sheets, single-line electrical diagrams, and material test certificates (MTCs) and other certificates for electrical items, steel plates and machinery.
Mastery of Incoterms 2020, customs clearance processes in Myanmar, and international payment structures.
Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, cost modeling) and experienced with ERP supply chain modules.
Willingness to occasionally travel to World Wide/China for factory inspections, and supplier relationship building when required.
