Job Summary
The Enterprise Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of the organisation’s physical assets, including IT equipment, fleet vehicles, furniture, facilities infrastructure, and heavy machinery. This role ensures that all assets are accurately tracked, properly maintained, legally compliant, and strategically utilised to maximise Return on Investment (ROI) and minimise risk.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Tracking & Lifecycle Management
Oversee the end-to-end asset lifecycle from procurement and deployment to maintenance, depreciation, and final disposal/decommissioning.
Maintain and update the central Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system or asset registry to ensure real-time accuracy of asset locations, conditions, and assigned users.
Develop and implement standardised tagging and barcoding systems for all physical property.
Conduct regular physical audits and reconcile findings with the asset database.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with IT End User Services teams to ensure computers, software licenses, and servers are properly tracked, maintained and secured.
Partner with Facility Operations & Management teams to manage building infrastructure, furniture, plant equipment, heavy equipment and moving equipment.
Work closely with the Fleet Management teams for scheduled maintenance, repair and insurance claims of motor vehicles.
Work closely with Finance & Accounting teams and Procurement teams to track asset depreciation, manage warranties, forecast capital expenditures (CapEx), and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Maintenance & Optimisation
Establish preventative maintenance schedules for machinery and fleet vehicles to prevent downtime and extend asset lifespans.
Analyse asset utilisation data to identify underused equipment and recommend reallocations or liquidations.
Compliance & Policy Development
Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide asset control policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure asset management practices comply with financial regulations, safety standards, and insurance requirements.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related fields.
Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in asset management, inventory control, operations, or facilities management.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with EAM or ERP. Strong proficiency in spreadsheets for data analysis.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead cross-departmental projects.
