We are looking for a dedicated Government Relationship Officer to join our Government Relations team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in representing our company's interests in Nay Pyi Daw and ensuring effective communication and collaboration with government bodies.
  • Job Summary: The Government Relationship Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with government officials and agencies in Nay Pyi Daw. They will act as the liaison between our company and government stakeholders, advocating for our interests and ensuring that regulatory and legislative developments align with our business goals. Frequent travel to Nay Pyi Daw is required for this role.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Government Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and government officials in Nay Pyi Daw. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Policy Monitoring: Stay informed about legislative and regulatory changes that may impact the company. Provide regular updates and analysis on relevant developments.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for the company's interests and positions on relevant policy issues. Participate in meetings, hearings, and discussions to represent the company's perspective.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with all government regulations and requirements. Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance matters.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all interactions with government officials, including meetings, correspondence, and agreements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, public affairs, and business development teams, to align government relations activities with company goals.
  • Report Generation: Prepare regular reports for senior management on government relations activities, progress, and potential risks.
  • Budget Management: Manage the government relations budget efficiently, including travel expenses and other related costs.

  • Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related role, with a minimum of [3] years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of government structures and processes, particularly in Nay Pyi Daw.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to Nay Pyi Daw.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting the industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Myanmar Language .
