The Head of HR – Automotive Division is responsible for leading and managing all human resource functions across the automotive business unit, including manufacturing factories, vehicle service centers, spare parts operations, and showroom sales teams. The role ensures alignment of HR strategy with business goals, workforce productivity, operational efficiency, and strong organizational culture across technical, retail, and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Business Alignment
Develop and implement HR strategy aligned with automotive division business objectives
Align workforce planning with factory production targets, service demand, and showroom sales growth
Support expansion of new service centers, showrooms, and production facilities with manpower planning
Act as a strategic HR partner to Division Head / CEO
2. Manpower Planning & Organizational Development
Design organizational structures for:
Manufacturing plants (production, maintenance, quality, engineering)
Service centers (technicians, service advisors, workshop managers)
Showrooms (sales consultants, customer service, finance coordinators)
Plan recruitment based on business expansion and operational requirements
Develop succession planning and talent pipeline for technical and sales roles
3. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management
Lead recruitment for technical, mechanical, engineering, and automotive sales positions
Develop sourcing strategies for skilled technicians, engineers, and service staff
Manage workforce deployment across factories, service centers, and showrooms
Ensure timely hiring for operational continuity
4. Performance Management & KPIs
Develop KPI systems for:
Factory productivity, efficiency, and quality
Service center turnaround time, customer satisfaction, and technician productivity
Showroom sales performance and customer conversion rates
Implement performance appraisal systems linked to incentives and rewards
Monitor employee performance and support improvement plans
5. Training & Development
Design technical training programs for automotive technicians and engineers
Implement sales training programs for showroom staff and customer service teams
Partner with technical institutes or OEMs for skill development
Ensure continuous upskilling in automotive technology and service standards
6. Compensation & Benefits
Develop competitive salary structures for technical, operational, and sales staff
Design incentive schemes for mechanics, service advisors, and sales teams
Manage payroll structure alignment across multiple business units
Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
7. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
Manage employee relations across factory workforce and service operations
Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution
Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and HR policies
Maintain positive industrial relations and workforce stability
8. HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure proper HR documentation, contracts, and employee records
Oversee attendance systems, shift management, and overtime control
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations in factories and workshops
Maintain HR audit readiness across all automotive operations
9. Organizational Culture & Engagement
Build strong performance-driven culture across technical and sales teams
Improve employee engagement and retention strategies
Promote safety-first and customer-centric culture
Implement employee recognition and reward programs
10. Leadership & Team Management
Lead HR teams across factories, service centers, and showrooms
Standardize HR policies across all automotive divisions
Develop HR capability within regional and operational HR teams
Report HR performance metrics to Division Head / Group HR
