The Procurement & Logistics Manager is responsible for implementing and executing the Sourcing, Procurement & Materials Strategies that support the Operational, Commercial and Functional requirements of the company. Independently and/or in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, this position will define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes, programmes and supplier performance to effectively, efficiently and proactively achieve strategic business initiatives and/or key performance indicators.

This position will interface with Estimating, Engineering, Project and Sales/Marketing teams in order to streamline processes, improve quality and reduce operating costs. The Procurement & Logistics Manager will assist the Regional Procurement Coordinator in structuring, developing and improving the Procurement & Logistics Department.

Though not always limited to the below list, his/ her involvement can be summarized as follows:
• Promote a culture of cost optimization and constant search of value-added proposal (Value Engineering,…); keep Estimating, Engineering and Project teams informed of new products or techniques proposed by suppliers.
• Contribute to permanent survey of price levels of raw materials, services, etc. as well as exchange rates and associated risks for our purchasing activities.
• Analyze market and delivery methods in order to assess present and future potential issues with material or services availability.
• Assist in feeding information on suppliers’ databases to Procurement Category Leaders
• Coordinate with project team to ensure the accuracy of master schedule and provide regular updated Procurement schedules and reports
• Ensure timely delivery of purchased materials and services by coordinating with the related stakeholders
• Organize and supervise timely provision to Estimating department of accurate total costs and purchasing conditions of materials and services for tender purpose.
• Develop lists of regularly used materials and services with their corresponding updated costs and conditions so as to increase the efficiency of estimating process
• Cooperate with Quality Management System team to ensure compliance with Group certification (OHSAS and ISO9001:2008)

• Educational background in Supply Chain Management or Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering preferred
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in equivalent position in construction or engineering field
• Able to lead negotiations with international suppliers and reach company’s commercial goals
• Understanding of legal issues and requirements for supplier contracts management
• Have a good understanding of the procurement process and a general commercial awareness and business understanding
