Job Purpose

Responsible for providing dedicated procurement support to the Procurement Manager, focusing on technical evaluation, vendor qualification, and RFQ execution for utility-scale solar PV projects. This role serves as the key technical bridge between project engineering teams and equipment suppliers, ensuring all solar PV equipment meets engineering specifications, quality standards, and budget targets during the sourcing process.

Key Responsibilities 

Prepare, issue, and manage Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages for solar equipment, transmission lines and electrical substations in close coordination with technical design teams.

Compile clear technical specifications, data sheets, warranty policies, and scope of work (SOW) documents. Prepare comprehensive commercial-technical comparison matrices highlighting key points for final supplier selection. Coordinate supplier clarification meetings, issue technical addenda, and manage technical query tracking.

Track technical documentation deliverables (design drawings, warranty documents, manuals, and maintenance guides) from awarded vendors. Coordinate with internal engineering teams and third-party technical advisors to review manufacturer datasheets and test certificates.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

Experience: 3–5 years of engineering or procurement experience, with direct exposure to utility-scale solar PV power projects or renewable energy infrastructure

Skills: Solid technical understanding of solar PV system design, single-line diagrams (SLDs), step-up transformers, and substations. Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Office and AutoCAD for the review, modification, and updating of technical drawings.
