About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Planning, the Procurement Executive (Chinese Speaking) will play a vital role in our international supply chain. You will manage the end-to-end import process for agricultural spare parts, ensuring zero stock-outs and strict compliance with Myanmar’s trade regulations. This role requires a blend of technical procurement skills, expert-level Chinese negotiation, and deep knowledge of import licensing (Sea, Border, and Auto).

Job Description

• Import License Management: Coordinate with suppliers and the Corporate Planning Group to prepare documentation for Sea, Border, and Auto licenses, ensuring compliance with the latest government trade bulletins.

• Supplier & Order Coordination: Manage Purchase Orders (PO) and Proforma Invoices (PI), resolve price or item discrepancies with Chinese suppliers, and confirm payments and new item coding.

• New Product Development: Conduct market research for new hardware products, coordinate with the MD and HOD for approvals, and manage the initial import process.

• Logistics & Transportation: Monitor license validity, coordinate with Logistics and Customs Clearance teams to manage shipping routes (Oversea/Local), and ensure packaging meets license specifications.

• Documentation & Translation: Translate technical catalogues and manuals from Chinese to Burmese and manage all Form E applications for tax exemptions.

• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare weekly reports on license status and monthly stock-balance statements for suppliers and internal management.

Job Overview

• Working Hour: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Working Day: Monday to Saturday

• Holiday: Sunday and Gazette Holidays

• Report To: Head of Planning

• Work Location: GBS Hardware Mart Office, Mayangone Township, Yangon

• At least 5 years of experience in international procurement, specifically within the Myanmar import/export landscape.

• Chinese Language Proficiency: Highly proficient in written and verbal Chinese; HSK Level 5 or 6 is preferred (Native-level proficiency without a certificate is also welcomed).

• Education: A degree in Business Management or Logistics/Supply Chain is preferred.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Excel for stock reporting and PowerPoint for management presentations.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of Myanmar’s Customs Clearance procedures, HS Codes, and Import License amendment processes.

• Work Style: Ability to meet strict deadlines and collaborate effectively with government departments and internal corporate groups.
