Job Purpose

The Production Controller is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling production activities for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) production to ensure on-time delivery, optimal resource utilization, quality compliance, and cost efficiency. This role acts as a bridge between sales/OEM customers, planning, procurement, production, and logistics to ensure smooth end-to-end production execution.

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control

Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on OEM orders and forecasts.

Monitor production schedules and adjust plans to meet delivery commitments.

Control work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory levels.

Ensure production output aligns with capacity, manpower, and machine availability.

2. OEM Order Management

Review OEM customer orders, specifications, BOMs, and delivery schedules.

Coordinate with Sales / OEM Account team to confirm production feasibility and timelines.

Track OEM order status and proactively report risks or delays.

3. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with Procurement for raw materials, components, and packaging availability.

Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve production issues.

Liaise with Warehouse and Logistics teams to support timely dispatch.

4. Production Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor daily production performance against plan (output, efficiency, scrap, downtime).

Prepare production control reports, KPIs, and variance analysis.

Maintain accurate production records in ERP or production systems.

5. Quality & Compliance

Ensure production follows OEM specifications, quality standards, and SOPs.

Support quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions for OEM requirements.

Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

6. Cost & Efficiency Control

Identify production bottlenecks and recommend improvement actions.

Support cost control by minimizing wastage, rework, and overtime.

Participate in productivity and lean manufacturing initiatives.
 

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.

3–7 years of experience in production control or planning, preferably in OEM manufacturing.

Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.

Factory-based role with regular shop-floor coordination

May require overtime during peak production periods
