RESPONSIBILITIES 

DevOps is a series of practices and processes that help organizations speed up and automate aspects of developing, testing, releasing, and updating software. DevOps engineers are responsible for facilitating this by combining technical expertise with project management and communication skills. 

The purpose of DevOps Engineer is to bridge the gap between Application Development and IT Operations. His or her primary focus should be on maintaining and improving the Platform Infrastructure including maintenance, build/deploy/release processes of CI/CD Pipeline Flow. In addition, he or she should have a drive to support the organization moving towards automated deployment, as part of the infrastructure such as Microservices and Continuous Delivery. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

• Focus on delivering customer value in Production Environment 

• Recommending alternative approaches to solving complex problems and utilizing new technologies to achieve goals. 

• Follow DevSecOps SOP, technology trends, research and suggest new technologies to reduce manual work. 

• Contribute towards excellence in high collaborative, team-oriented environment.  

• Improves collaboration between Scrum Teams and IT Operations.  

• Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions. 

Knowledge & Skills

Essential 

• Deep knowledge of relevant domains/products journeys 

• Ability to code and script automation tools 

• Ability to translate business processes into automation tools 

• Working knowledge of deployment and infrastructure solutions 

• Understanding of developer workflow & comfortable with frequent releases, testing and deployment 

• Orchestration and container deployment technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and Helm 

Experience 

Essential 

• Experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation. 

• CI/CD 

• Agile Principles or Scrum Methodology 

• Experience Cross Team Collaboration 

• Kubernetes, Helm. Istio, API Gateway 

• Banking experience is a plus 

• Experience with software development is a plus

Cloud

• Cloud native platform and tools 

• Microservices development 

Languages 

• Working proficiency in Myanmar and English. 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 

• Need to be able to explain your tasks and activity to others including non-DevOps Engineers.
