Job Title: Study Abroad Counsellor
Reports to: Study Abroad Manager
Hours of Work: 5 days per week (combination of weekdays and weekends)
Salary: Base + Competence-based Component + Commissions
Role: Recruit students and help them to:
select suitable programs and universities;
apply for and enrol in the program; and
prepare to live and study abroad.
Location: Yangon

Primary Responsibilities
-Counsel students to assist them to find and apply for Higher Education courses abroad:
-Interview clients to determine their needs.
-Research appropriate courses and other information for clients.
-Organise and present information to clients in an easily digestible form.
-Ensure information recorded is accurate, organised and easily accessible.
-Assist students to make study and Visa applications ensuring all documentation is checked.
-Manage written correspondence in English and Burmese (clients, executive, institutions).
-Work to create new study abroad client leads through new and existing channels
-Ensure leads are followed up in a timely manner
-Assist the Manager with organization of promotional activities including Facebook
-Know and understand the key features of our services and competitive advantage.
-Keep up to date with relevant changes (e.g., programs, universities, visas)
-Prepare client status reports on request for EduLink Australia executives.
-Translate short English language documents for publishing on website and Facebook

Selection Criteria
-Previous student counselling experience highly regarded
-Experience is a sales account management or other dynamic consulting role
-Any graduate.
-Upper-Intermediate English
-Independent and resourceful and shows initiative.
-Well organised and able to manage time effectively.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Highly proficient in web-based research and quickly navigating new websites to access information
-Able to use MS Word, Excel and Internet.
-Able to use Gmail and Google Calendar (or to learn to use them).
