Job Summary The Procurement Assistant Manager is responsible for leading sourcing activities, supplier negotiations, contract management, and procurement operations. This role will strengthen procurement processes, support budget and cost control, manage supplier relationships and risks, and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality purchasing aligned with company objectives. Key Responsibilities Manage the procurement of technical, operational, and business requirements in accordance with approved specifications and budgets. Review, evaluate, and improve vendor and supplier contracts, agreements, and commercial terms. Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies and purchasing plans aligned with company objectives and procurement procedures. Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, quality, delivery schedules, and service levels. Forecast procurement requirements, monitor stock availability, and ensure essential orders are placed in a timely manner. Monitor key procurement performance indicators and identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency. Identify and manage procurement risks, monitor market trends and supplier conditions, and implement appropriate control measures. Support procurement planning, budget reviews, financial control, management reporting, and overall procurement process improvement. Work closely with department heads and relevant stakeholders to improve workflows, specifications, purchasing requirements, and business outcomes. Manage and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and service providers. Lead, coach, train, and support the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high performance standards. Ensure procurement activities are properly documented, controlled, and completed within required timelines.
