Source innovative, high-margin, and fast-moving products. Request and evaluate product samples. Prepare commercial recommendations for new product launches. Maintain a healthy pipeline of new products. 2. Supplier Development & Management Identify and qualify new local and international suppliers. Build long-term supplier relationships. Conduct supplier evaluations. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, rebates, promotional support, and delivery conditions. Secure exclusive or preferred supplier agreements whenever possible. Develop contingency suppliers for critical products. 3. Category Management Manage assigned product categories by: Monitoring sales performance. Monitoring gross profit margin. Reviewing inventory movement. Identifying slow-moving products. Recommending product additions and discontinuations. Reviewing competitor pricing. Maintaining an optimal product assortment. 4. Cost & Margin Optimization Continuously negotiate better purchase prices. Improve gross margin across product categories. Identify alternative suppliers with better commercial value. Reduce procurement costs without compromising quality. Recommend selling price adjustments based on market conditions. 5. Market Intelligence Monitor competitor products and pricing. Visit retail stores, wholesalers, and trade exhibitions. Track consumer trends. Identify gaps in the market. Prepare monthly market intelligence reports. 6. Product Launch Support Coordinate with Sales on new product introductions. Prepare product information sheets. Ensure products are ready before launch. Coordinate with Marketing for promotional activities. Monitor launch performance. 7. Inventory Collaboration Work closely with Warehouse and Operations to: Maintain appropriate stock levels. Minimize stock-outs. Reduce excess inventory. Improve inventory turnover. Plan replenishment with suppliers. 8.
