Job Title: HSE Officer (Health, Safety, and Environment Officer) Department: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) / Human Resources Reports To: HSE Manager / HR Manager / General Manager Salary: Negotiable 1. Job Summary The HSE Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental procedures across the company. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe working environment, maintain compliance with occupational health and environmental safety laws, minimize workplace hazards, and foster a strong safety culture within the organization. 2. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Management:Implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and safety guidelines in accordance with company standards and local regulations. Conduct routine safety inspections, site walkthroughs, and hazard identifications across all operational areas. Manage emergency response plans, including fire safety, emergency evacuation procedures, and first aid management. Environmental Management:Monitor waste management, chemical handling, and emission control procedures to ensure minimal environmental impact. Ensure full compliance with environmental laws, standards, and guidelines. Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation:Perform job safety analyses (JSA) and risk assessments for tools, machinery, materials, and processes. Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive action plans. Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain organized safety logs and records. Training & Compliance:Plan and deliver safety orientation for new hires and ongoing HSE training programs (e.g., machine safety, chemical handling, PPE usage, ergonomics). Conduct regular safety awareness campaigns and toolbox talks. Coordinate with regulatory authorities and facilitate internal and external safety audits. PPE & Equipment Maintenance:Assess Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and enforce strict proper usage among employees. Inspect firefighting equipment, first aid kits, and emergency equipment regularly to ensure operational readiness.
