Lead month-end close activities and deliver timely, reconciled management accounts. Prepare and review statutory accounts and supporting schedules for year-end reporting. Reconcile general ledger accounts including balance sheet and intercompany accounts. Prepare accruals, prepayments and month-end journal entries. Analyse variances against budgets and prior periods and prepare management commentary. Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes. Coordinate and support external and internal audits, providing schedules and explanations. Maintain fixed asset registers and prepare depreciation and impairment calculations. Ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements and assist with tax provision work. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity. Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and cost control initiatives. Assist with cash and bank reconciliations and liaise with treasury as required. Provide guidance and review work of junior accounting staff and support their development. Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of accounting activities
