Key Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate all Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) risks in the workplace and propose suitable control measures to reduce risk to as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP). Establish and implement HSSE Management System in consultation with Operations and Maintenance. Investigate, report and share lessons learned on any workplace accidents, incidents or significant near miss. Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders on all matters pertaining to HSSE. Maintain site’s certification to OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Standards. Conduct HSSE training programs and induction. Communicate HSSE action plans, concerns and decisions to respective employees and contractors. Carry out daily HSSE inspections and follow-up on any deficiencies noted. Follow-up on medical treatment for any casualty. Liaise with appointed medical facility on first-aid and medical treatments. Facilitate the inspection and maintenance of Heavy Equipment and Machinery/Power tools during pre-deployment and during periodic inspection. Implement proactive measures to curb accident/incident, unsafe acts/conditions through promotions, campaigns, pre-task talks, toolbox meeting and training. Maintain site HSSE records (audit, inspection, meetings, incidents, tool box talks, pre-job start talk etc.). Institute Consequence Management Program to curb HSSE lapses.
