Job PurposeThe Credit Officer is the link between the company and the client. He will collect information on the borrowers’ financial situation, present the loan proposals to the Branch Manager, check the situation of the borrower after disbursement and take actions to guarantee the enforcement of the contract via collection and intervention in case of default.Key Responsibilities1. Implement target plan distributed by branch manager.2. Actively participate in the main phases of the credit process: promotion, screening/analysis, proposal, disbursement and monitoring/recovery.3. Perform data collection, validation and appraisal for all loan applicants before recommending for approval. This includes screening of credit group members and assessment of their loan requirements according to company’s guidelines.4. Able to effectively manage groups of borrowers.5. Organization, moderation and supervision of group meetings.6. Deliver training on loan product, policy and procedure to customers or communities.7. Build and maintain good relationship with colleagues, customers, local authorities and other stakeholders.8. Help clients to complete loan application and explain to them to make sure they fully understand all clauses in the document.9. Perform loan monitoring and reviewing, and solve problem related to default loans.10. Preparation of regular field and financial reports.11. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Job Specifications• University graduates or strong educational background, especially numeracy.• Possess 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role.• Determined personality with excellent communication skills.• High level of integrity, initiative and positive attitude.• A team player with a passion to help others.• Must provide a clean criminal background and reference check.• Ability to communicate in English is an added advantage.
