# The designer is expected to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the overarching critical elements of environmental and exhibition planning and design. The designer will be required to handle multiple projects at once.Responsibilities -Imagine and execute dynamic spaces. -Effectively create mood boards and lookbooks to convey the atmosphere and feel of the environment and provide visual details of preliminary project vision. -Diagram out major spatial program areas and their relationships to each other. -Communicate design intent and experiential intent through development of 3D computer-generated concept renderings, photo-composites, hand-drawn sketches, and graphics, and be able to direct others to do so. -Create comprehensive documentation packages for review by the internal team and the external client, highlighting all design features of the space. Documents to include the following: -Detailed layouts, including arrangement of furniture, rental pieces, custom elements, and other activation components to optimize space, integrating all parts effectively to ensure optimal flow throughout the space. -Scaled floor plans and elevations -Polished renderings (at multiple stages throughout the design process) -Furniture and decor boards including all material and finish selections -Graphics and branding previews, key-coded to elevations and floor plans -Work with a team (project manager, project coordinator, creative director, art director, senior designers, client, etc.) to successfully achieve project goals. -Work within and manage a specified creative budget. -Maintain accuracy and ownership of all details in the design process from concept to completion.
Required Skills -BA required in architecture, interior design, exhibition design, graphic design, or related field with a strong design portfolio -Ability to comprehend floor plans and architectural drawings -Knowledge of graphic design and mechanical production -Environmental rendering ability -Knowledge of basic techniques of exhibition evaluation within the development process ( preferred ) -Software and programs: -Adobe Creative Suite (inDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) -SketchUp and/or other 3D modeling/visualization software ( SketchUp preferred ) -Microsoft Office Suite Basic Criteria -Extremely detail oriented -Organized -Flexible -Able to multitask -Comfortable talking to people (great personality!) -Willing to work outside the standard work week -Team oriented What happens next?If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply below and we will review your application as soon as possible.
