- Overseeing structural design and analyzing existing structures for safety
- Preparing reports, designs and drawings
- Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
- Providing technical advice
- Obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval
- Liaise with other designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction

- B.E (Civil) is preferred
