Job Description

  • Provide legal advice to senior management on corporate, regulatory, governance, and business matters.
  • Oversee legal and regulatory compliance, including company registrations, licenses, and regulatory engagements with relevant authorities.
  • Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements and establish effective contract standards and processes.
  • Oversee disputes, litigation, arbitration, and external legal counsel to protect the company’s interests.
  • Oversee the protection and registration of the company’s trademarks, copyrights, patents, and other intellectual property.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks, conduct legal due diligence, and provide legal support for business expansion and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on key legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or related field; additional legal qualifications or professional certifications are an advantage.
  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience, with strong exposure to corporate law, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Strong knowledge of Myanmar laws, regulations, corporate structures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation, legal risk assessment, dispute resolution, and regulatory affairs.
  • Experience working with DICA, MIC, and other relevant government authorities.
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
