Routine/ Operational

  1. Reviewing the reports and the performance of each respective department; giving them individual feedback and support, to managers and helping tem learn and perform better at work.
    • Getting objective information on the quality and result of work done in each departments
    • Giving both good and bad feedback; Giving them points for their performance.
    • Supporting them with ideas, e.g. professional contact, know-how
    • Supporting them with tools, e.g. machines, hardware and software, etc
  2. Coordinating the interdepartmental work and projects and ensuring the quality of work and the completion of work on time, this includes facilitating the communications between each department.
    • Getting updated information from each responsible personnel for the project.
    • Directing critical information to the responsible personnel.
  3. Working on business development, i.e. franchising, new pand rojects to grow the company’s revenue.
  • For Franchising, location scouting and ,custo mer negotiations; later stages of finding and signing big investors and customers will be done in coordination with CEO
  • For new projects, the COO will assist the CEO in doing market research; after CEO’s approval, COO will help in the formation of the team which will execute the new projects. 
  1. Cultivating a sense of responsibility among all staff and propagating the company’s culture.
  2. Visit all stores and help the operations team meet store requirements.
  3. Monitoring monthly and yearly sales targets, as well as each store's P&L performance, to ensure that targets are met.
  4. Getting objective information on the quality and result of work done in each department, giving them both good and bad feedback and points for their performance.
  5. Reviewing the reports and the performance of each respective department; providing support to managers, giving ideas, and helping them learn and perform better at work.
  6. Monitoring all shops stock: guiding and assisting to Operations team to handel stock loss.
  7. Provide management and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company’s business plan and overall strategic vision.
  8. Perform other functions related to COO or as may be requested by the CEO or BOD.

Strategic

  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to deal with people and stakeholders across all levels.
  • Set challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance, and profitability of MGOU Myanmar.
  • Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Create effective measurement tools to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external processes.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports outlining the operational condition of the MGOU Shops.
  • Work with the CEO and CFO in the capital raise process, and participate in the company’s road shows. Meet, interact and present information effectively to potential investors and private equity firms. 
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and cooperation with China MGOU
  • Forge strategic partnerships and relationships with franchisees, investors, collaborators, and all other professional business relationships.
  • Foster a growth-oriented, positive, and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the C-Level Executives and BOD Members.
  • Partnered with the CFO to achieve favorable financial results related to sales, profitability, cash flow, systems, reporting, and controls.

  • Assist executive team members in creating, growing, and building a world-class, industry- leading organization.
  • Work closely with the management team to create, implement, and roll out plans for operational processes, internal infrastructures, reporting systems, and company policies designed to foster growth, profitability, and efficiencies.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree holder
  • Preferably studied Business, Economics or Marketing
  • At least 7 years of demonstrated experience.
  • Substantial Management experience in retail business or similar
  • High levels of drive, energy, and resilience.
  • Good analytical, communication, and behavioral skills
  • Proven ability to oversee, plan, coordinate, direct, and review all aspects of retail operations.
  • Must have sound knowledge of geographic, demographic, and consumer behaviors
  • Professional working proficiency in Myanmar and English is a must
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Email
