Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Coordination:
    • Lead and supervise a team of operators and technicians engaged in tank terminal operations and oil drum filling activities.
    • Coordinate with various departments including maintenance, logistics, quality control, and administration to ensure smooth workflow and timely execution of tasks.
  2. Tank Terminal Operations:
    • Oversee the receipt, offloading, storage, and dispatch of edible oils in bulk quantities within the tank terminal.
    • Monitor inventory levels, perform stock reconciliations, and maintain accurate records of product movements.
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards during all terminal operations.
  3. Oil Drum Filling Operation:
    • Manage the filling and packaging of edible oils into drums or other containers according to customer orders and specifications.
    • Ensure proper functioning of filling equipment, troubleshoot any operational issues, and coordinate maintenance activities as needed.
    • Implement quality control measures to maintain product integrity and hygiene standards throughout the filling process.
  4. Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental hazards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and work areas to identify and address potential risks.
    • Stay updated on regulatory requirements related to edible oil handling, storage, and transportation, and ensure full compliance at all times.
  5. Training and Development:
    • Provide training and guidance to staff on operational procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee feedback, implementing best practices, and optimizing operational efficiency.
  6. Customer Service:
    • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to fulfill orders, resolve inquiries, and address any customer concerns related to product quality or delivery schedules.
    • Maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and business growth opportunities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:
•    Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
•    Proven experience (5+ years) in a supervisory role within a tank terminal or manufacturing facility, preferably in the edible oil industry.
•    Strong knowledge of tank farm operations, filling equipment, and quality control standards for edible oils.
•    Familiarity with safety regulations and industry best practices in hazardous materials handling.
•    Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment.
•    Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory agencies.
•    Proficiency in computer applications for data management, inventory tracking, and reporting (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems).
