Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

  • Reads and rewrites (Translate) program manual documents, books, and project-related reports in the Korean language following established rules pertaining to factors such as word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and mechanics. (All documents and reports are written in the English language)
  • Under the supervision of the Country Director, submitting the translated reports via electronic system.
  • Occasionally, serves as an interpreter at seminars, speeches, meetings, and training conferences, providing consecutive or simultaneous translation between Korean to Burmese or Burmese to Korean and vice versa.
  • Able to translate program manuals that are in English into the Myanmar language well.
  • Assist a program team to ensure the effective implementation of program works in a timely manner.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of translation experience from English/Myanmar to Korean in a relevant field. - Myanmar National.
  • Fluency in Myanmar and English, both written and spoken.
  • Korean Language proficiency - TOPIK Advanced Level 5 or 6.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Having experience and knowledge of community-based development programs is preferable.
  • Understanding of the Christian faith-based development program is preferable.
  • Flexibility- the ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people, open-minded good communication skills, ability to listen, and diplomacy.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Respect and regard KFHI Myanmar Policy.
