Project Coordinator for Development of Multi-Actor Platforms for Sustainable Natural Rubber in Myanmar, WWF-Myanmar

Major Function
The major function of the position is to coordinate the development of multi-actor platforms for Sustainable Natural Rubber Sector in Myanmar at the national, region/state, and local levels.
Major Responsibilities
• Review and share best practices for multi-actor platforms in the agriculture sector both national and international
• At national level, work with key stakeholders to establish a SNR Committee (government, private sector, civil society organizations, and representative of producers
• Participate in other national platforms on agriculture to promote zero deforestation and sustainable agriculture
• At the Region and State Level, work with key stakeholders to establish inclusive region/state platforms for SNR
• In Tanintharyi Region and Kayin State, facilitate the development of training modules for the establishment of cluster level producers associations/cooperatives, tapper/labour associations, village level farmers groups, and women agroecology groups with Village Savings and Loan Associations
• Coordinator monitoring, evaluation and reporting of Myanmar Project activities working in cooperation with Project M&E Team

Job Requirements

Requirements
• Bachelor and/or Master Degree in relevant area of study
• 3 years of experience coordinating/managing complex programmes or projects involving public-private partnerships, including experience working with Ministries and Government Agencies and private sector
• Experience with the development of producer associations/cooperatives, farmers’ groups, and/or women’s groups.
• Knowledge and experience working in natural rubber sector an advantage
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Fluency in Myanmar language and good written and spoken English language skills
