• Lead and supervise the accounting team to ensure smooth daily operations across GL, AP, AR, inventory, intercompany reconciliations, revenue, COGS, OPEX, and fixed assets, ensuring efficiency and statutory compliance.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and review outputs to maintain accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports; review and finalise before submission, with variance analysis and business insight.
• Oversee inventory and trade costing paddy / rice purchase cost, freight, processing, and landed cost and ensure accurate COGS and margin reporting for the rice business.
• Supervise preparation of tax schedules, ensure compliance with local tax and customs regulations, and ensure timely, accurate filing of commercial tax, income tax, and other returns.
• Maintain strong internal controls and lead the development of accounting policies, SOPs, and process improvements.
• Oversee cash-flow monitoring, working-capital, and liquidity management; review reports and advise the Head of Finance.
• Manage trade-finance accounting letters of credit, export proceeds, and bank reconciliations in coordination with the Export team.
• Develop, monitor, and review budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, including expenditure control and variance analysis.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure timely audits, implementation of recommendations, and proper supporting documentation.
• Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations and accounting standards and update policies and processes accordingly.

•  Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CPA / ACCA) is a plus.

•  Minimum 7 years’ accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.

•  Experience in trading, manufacturing, or commodity business is an advantage.
