About the role

The Software QA Tester or Quality Assurance Tester (QAT), is responsible for ensuring that ONOW software products perform well and are created according to specifications. The QAT will conduct unit and integration testing on ONOW software and chatbots to ensure quality and defect-free products. The candidate should be passionate about the economic and social empowerment of Myanmar people through technology.
 

Responsibilities

The Software QA Tester (QAT) will work with the Senior QA Engineer and Product Owners to produce error and defect-free software products. The QAT does this by testing software and chatbot modules (unit testing) and complete tools (integration testing), identifying bugs, and then documenting and communicating those bugs to developers. This includes mobile apps, chatbots, content management systems, and websites.

• Be familiar with product specs and user targets

• Conduct manual and software-based unit and integration testing

• Check data-related areas, such as source blocks, JSON export fields, etc with the Data Dictionary, CMS, visual flow design

• Identify bugs, errors, and defects

• Create documentation of bugs and communicate issues and any possible solutions (if known) to developers - In English written

• Communicating issues, delays, and blocks to the Product Owners in a timely manner

• Participating in some design sessions or product status meetings to offer QAT perspective

Skills needed and requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, or a related field

• Software Testing experience

• Familiarity with chatbot development platforms

• Values Quality Documentation

• Constantly Exploring and Learning, passionate about improving the entire team

• Ability to understand target users and software requirements

• Communication: Native Burmese, Moderate English verbal and written
• Fast learner 

• Organized and Detail oriented

• Software Experience: Chatbots, Testing

• Able to create a distraction-free environment to give complete attention to testing
   

• Reporting and Management

  This position is based in Myanmar. Work from home and flexible schedules are allowed. This position reports to the Senior QA Engineer and Product Owners.
