Job Description

  • Deciding whether to lease or buy vehicles.
  • Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
  • Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.
  • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management.
  • Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
  • Complying with Department of Transport laws and regulations of Myanmar.
  • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Purchasing and maintaining vehicles for drivers.
  • Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft.
  • Receive incoming service requests from customers and action accordingly.
  • Planning of driver schedules to meet strict delivery and collection times.
  • Liaising with drivers to ensure deliveries/collections are running on time.
  • Document all good delivered and returned from/to warehouse with accuracy.
  • Conduct investigation and disciplinary hearing in line with company policies.
  • Ensure that all work is performed within the Health and Safety guidelines and advice the Warehouse Manager of any issues.
  • Ensure all road traffic accidents are reported to the Warehouse Manager and followed up.
  • Ensuring that drivers perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks according to the SOPs.
  • Weekly and Monthly reported to Line Manager.

Job Requirements

 

-At least 3 years related working experiences

-Must have good written and spoken English and ability to communicate well with Management.

-Knowledge of Transport regulations including driver’s hours regulations and experiences with local customs, trade and regulatory issues related to logistics.

-Extensive knowledge of the transportation industry

-Excellent written and verbal communication

-Ability to work independently and creatively to take initiative

-Flexible, open-minded and self-motivated

-Strong, capable organization leadership. Superior customer relationship management skills.
