Specific responsibilities:

• The admissions officer is responsible for the enrolment of all students into TOWIS, including new and returning students, in preparation for the beginning of each academic year, and throughout the year thereafter.
• The admissions officer evaluates all applications to TOWIS from prospective students, ensuring that all successful applications adhere to school entry standards.
• The admissions officer makes final decision on all admissions to school in collaboration and agreement with key academic personnel (Head of Primary/School Principal).
• The admissions officer provides full explanation of the application and enrolment process to prospective students and their families.
• The admissions officer processes all application paperwork.
• The admissions officer gives a full explanation of TOWIS, including facilities, teaching personnel, subjects, examination courses, Year Groups, and school divisions.
• The admissions officer works in collaboration with the finance officer to ensure all fees are paid fully and promptly.
• The admissions officer maintains accurate records of all students, both personal (as those details relate to school experience) and academic.
• The admissions officer administers placement tests, giving each candidate student the appropriate placement test according to their intended Year Group of entry. For multiple choice and closed questions, the admissions officer marks the placement test. For open questions and writing tasks, the admissions and registrar officer gives the placement test to academic personnel for assessment (Head of Primary/School Principal).
• The admissions officer examines the admissions procedure and process, making recommendations for changes when necessary.
• The admissions officer refers students, and their family, to other key school personnel when necessary; academic leadership, financial department, student affairs officer, shop.
• The admissions officer by participating in School events.
• The admissions officer ensures compliance with relevant policies and regulations, both in-school and governmental.
• The admissions officer reports to TOWIS SLT on all matters relating to admissions, including student numbers and departing students.
• The admissions officer advises school policy in accordance with Myanmar law and legal requirements for the provision of educational services.
