Job Description

• Identify and integrate relevant data sources, utilizing data tools to extract, process and detect trends and patterns.
• Cleanse, manipulate and validate large and complex datasets into usable formats, transforming technical data structures as semantic layers for analytics.
• Build, maintain and monitor scalable data flows and pipelines to efficiently distribute insights and reports to end-users.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of data systems, data warehouses, policies, and troubleshooting data-related issues.
• Learn business processes and digital workflows to identify areas for improvement by utilizing data products.
• Cooperate and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support project endeavors.
• Ensure secure handling of confidential data in line with organizational guidelines.
• Research and apply emerging data and AI technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering skill development across the team.

• Proven work experience as a data analyst or data engineer, combining strong analytical aptitude with advanced technical skills to bridge data insights and engineering solutions.
• Possesses strong Python and SQL skills, with expertise in writing efficient queries and scripts, and familiarity with APIs, JSON and Linux.
• Proficient in processing and transforming large, complex datasets with practical expertise in designing data pipelines, optimizing ETL workflows, and implementing data warehouse solutions to support reliable analytics.
• Foundational ability in cloud services: AWS, GCP or Azure, and adaptability in quickly learning and switching between technologies to meet project needs.
• Ablity to collaborate across multiple functional teams and foster an understanding of changes impacting an existing process area.
• Demonstrates strong communication and presentation skills and possesses problem-solving aptitude.
• Experience with visualization tools, especially PowerBI, will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience in the financial sector is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in economics, information management, statistics, engineering, mathematics, accounting, computer science or any graduate with equivalent experience.
