Job Summary
The Senior Infra Engineer is a key member of the IT Infrastructure & Platform team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure systems that support business operations. The position requires strong technical expertise in cloud platforms, VPN networks, device portals, data centres, and virtualization technologies with the ability to drive security, scalability, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Design & Strategy
- Design infrastructure solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies for scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure.
- Participate in infrastructure planning and lifecycle management (installation, maintenance, retirement).
System & Cloud Administration
- Administer Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.
- Monitor and maintain public cloud infrastructure (AWS/Alibaba/Huawei) to ensure optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency, while adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain VPN tunnels between head office and branch offices/data centers/remote sites to ensure secure and reliable connectivity
Device & Portal Management
- Administer Sunmi Device Portal for handheld stock counting devices (tracking, firmware upgrades, usability).
- Manage Inhand Portal for network performance, VPN connectivity, IP firewall, and APN SIM data pool configurations.
- Oversee Ruijie Portal for Wi-Fi and network optimization across multiple business units and office locations.
- Administer Meraki Firewall Router Portal (MX 100, 84, 64, Z3, Z3C) for network and firewall configurations.
Data Centre & Virtualization Management
- Oversee data centre operations including server provisioning, power, cooling, and physical security.
- Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) for efficient resource utilization and scalability.
- Monitor virtual machine performance and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and tested.
Standard Infrastructure Management
- Oversee networking systems including switching, routing, and perimeter devices.
- Manage server infrastructure including physical/virtual servers, storage, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Manage server operating systems including Linux and Windows Server, ensuring patching, performance tuning, and security compliance.
- Administer Active Directory services including user/group management, GPOs, authentication policies, and domain services.
- Ensure proper cabling standards and data transfer capabilities for infrastructure projects.
- Implement and monitor security measures across infrastructure systems.
Vendor & Team Collaboration
- Lead multi-vendor coordination, including negotiation, performance monitoring, and SLA compliance.
- Train and mentor IT Managers and team members across subsidiaries through structured programs to enhance technical skills and ensure reliable support for business IT operations
- Collaborate with service desk, security, development, and project teams to ensure smooth operations.
Governance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and infrastructure changes.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks and security standards.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and generate reports for leadership.
