Category Development

• Identifies on-demand assortment in the market and selects the most efficient merchants for those assortments
• Develops and grows assortment to targeted number of merchants and SKUs
• Managing and growing assigned product category, including ongoing merchant management with the category to ensure the quality of both merchant and customer experience

Merchant management

• Identifies and negotiates with merchants
• Monitors and evaluates current and future merchants based on product quality, price and delivery service
• Build strong rapport with merchants and communicates ongoing key communication
• Negotiates and manages promotion plans and execution with merchants

Performance management

• Manages the category to understand which products are best-selling, which channels are best etc.
• Use data insights to track performance, identify growth opportunities, and support decision-making.

To carry out any other duties or special assignment this may be assigned to you from time to time by the supervisor.

• Obtained Bachelor’s Degree in business, procurement or supply chain.

• 3+ years of experience in strategic procurement or “FMCG”or “Fashion” or “Lifestyle” category management

• Knowledge of procurement and passion for direct-to-consumer ecommerce business practices and operations
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong analytical, data-driven problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Entrepreneurial and driven to achieve desired outcomes
• Good stakeholder/ supplier management
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, work with changing priorities and proactive manner
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding/ interest of digital tools/ technology and latest trends
