DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a small team of Credit Analysts who will enjoy building great relationships with colleagues in order to achieve common objectives.
- Ensure that efficient credit underwriting procedures are consistently in line with Yoma Bank’s core credit risk policies and credit risk appetite.
- Demonstrate responsible business acumen to strike an acceptable balance between business growth and credit quality objectives, (“Risk/Reward”).
- Ensure the timely turnaround time of credit applications, consistent with the fast approval decisions expected by borrowers for small consumer loans.
- Prepare statistical reports in respect of credit scorecard predictive ability
- Make recommendations as to Credit Policies and Procedures
- Monitor delinquency rates of the unsecured consumer credit portfolio.
- Make timely recommendations should the delinquency rate of the unsecured portfolio display an adverse trend.

Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- Possess a proven track record with consumer or retail credit risk, including applying sound judgement in credit decisions in all stages of the credit cycle
- Knowledge of credit scoring models; e.g. model validation, scorecard cut-offs
- Sound knowledge of collections and delinquency monitoring
- Ability to communicate with and influence senior Yoma Bank management in all matters associated with Credit Risk
- Thorough understanding of Yoma Bank’s Credit Policy, Risk Appetite and Procedures
- Thorough understanding of CBM compliance policies
- Consistently deliver high levels of results, using constructive credit management techniques and to exceed multiple, challenging performance objectives.
- Sound knowledge of Myanmar legal processes
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
- Strong ability to effectively prioritize tasks


Education & Special Training
Essential
- Degree in one of the following fields; Business, Risk Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Maths and/or any industry specific qualification.
Desirable
- Masters Degree in Business or Finance
- Knowledge of statistical concepts; e.g. regression analysis, correlation

Experience
Essential
- Experience in managing a small to medium sized, dedicated Credit Risk team
- Thorough knowledge of lending in the Myanmar market, focus sing on retail/consumer lending
- Experience with credit scoring models
