ROLE PURPOSE

To support the growth and sustainability of the SME Banking portfolio by providing sales performance, assisting in the preparation and assessment of high-quality credit proposals, and ensuring efficient end-to-end lending. The role involves close coordination with internal departments and direct engagement with SME clients to provide tailored financial solutions while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive Sales Performance: Lead efforts to achieve monthly and annual SME lending targets through proactive client engagement and portfolio management
• Cross-Sell Initiatives: Identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities by promoting the bank’s suite of products (e.g., trade finance, cash management, treasury solutions, etc…) to SME clients, enhancing wallet share and deepening customer relationships
• Merchant Acquiring Support: Assist in onboarding and managing SME clients for merchant acquiring services, ensuring seamless integration with payment solutions while adhering to compliance and risk guidelines
• Credit Proposal Support: Assist in the preparation and thorough review of SME credit proposals, ensuring alignment with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
• Initial Credit Underwriting: Perform preliminary credit assessments by analyzing borrowers' financial statements, repayment capacity, industry trends, and collateral adequacy to support sound and responsible lending decisions
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate effectively with key internal departments—such as Credit Risk, Legal, Operations, Branches, and Compliance—to ensure timely and seamless processing of loan applications and approvals
• Business Development Activities: Contribute to SME growth initiatives by actively participating in campaigns, roadshows, and lead generation efforts in collaboration with relevant teams
• Client Relationship: Maintain regular communication with SME clients to obtain required information, clarify business operations, and address loan servicing inquiries
• Other Duties: Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Team Lead or Head of Department

Education & Special Training 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field
• MBA or certification in credit/risk is a plus

Experience     

• Minimum 3 ~ 5 years’ work experience conducting in SME banking, sales, or credit underwriting.

Knowledge & Skills     

• Strong persuasion and negotiation skills to close deals
• Strong understanding of financial statements, risk assessment, and lending principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrate SPEAKING OUT

Languages

• Excellent verbal and written communication skill; both in Myanmar and English
