ROLE PURPOSE

The Financial Planning & Analysis VP is responsible for financial analysis and cost management to support the bank's operational and strategic goals. This includes overseeing budgeting processes, managing operational costs, delivering high-quality financial reports, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Manage the daily budgetary approval process for all divisions.
• Prepare and deliver Monthly Forecasts.
• Support Year-End Budgeting by coordinating with key stakeholders and ensuring timely submission.

Cost Control and Management:

• Monitor and enforce daily cost control measures, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities to optimize operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and address variances in expense trends to maintain financial discipline.

 Reporting:

Prepare and submit the following reports monthly:

• Divisional Actual Expenses in Budget Format.
• Budget vs. Actual Expense Reports.
• Cost Tracking
• Business Cases

Operational and Ad Hoc Support:

• Respond to ad hoc financial requests, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of analysis.
• Oversee Budget Approvals and Transfers, ensuring smooth operational flow.
• Provide data for insurance valuations and other financial requirements as needed.

Collaboration and Strategic Support:

• Partner with business units to align financial plans with operational objectives.
• Act as a financial advisor to operational teams, providing insights for decision-making and cost control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent financial management practices across the bank.

Compliance and Governance:

• Ensure financial activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Maintain accurate records to support audits and regulatory reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

Knowledge & Skills 

• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
• Knowledge of cost optimization practices in banking operations.
• Ability to use data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Education & Special Training   

• ACCA part 2, CPA or bachelor’s degree in finance and Accounting
• Training in financial planning, cost control, or data analytics.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance and accounting field.
• Experience supporting executives or high-level leaders.
• Experience coordinating with internal/external stakeholders.

Languages

• Proficient in English and Myanmar (spoken and written).
• Business writing proficiency in both languages.
